Domain registration, renewal and DNS management

Register a new domain, renew what you already own, transfer a domain in, and manage the DNS records that decide where your website and email actually go.

Domain registration

Register a new domain in your organisation’s name across common global and Indian extensions. Availability and pricing are confirmed before registration.

Domain renewal

Renewal dates and invoices appear in your client portal so a domain does not lapse quietly while the website is running fine.

DNS management

A, AAAA, CNAME, MX, TXT and NS records managed for the domains you hold with us, including records needed to verify third-party services.

Domain transfer

Move a domain in from another registrar, or out to one. Timelines and eligibility rules are set by each registry, and we will explain them before starting.

Domain privacy

Where the registry and extension permit it, registrant contact details can be shielded in public WHOIS records. Availability differs by extension.

Managed in the portal

Domains sit alongside hosting and email in the same account, so renewals, invoices and support history stay in one place.

About the client portal

On domain pricing Registration and renewal costs depend on the extension and the registry behind it, and they change. We do not publish a price list here. Email [email protected] with the domain you want and we will confirm current pricing and availability.

DNS, in plain terms

The records that decide where your traffic lands

A domain name on its own does nothing. DNS records are what connect it to a web server, a mail service and anything else running on your name.

  • A / AAAA — point the domain at the server hosting your website
  • CNAME — alias a subdomain to another hostname
  • MX — decide which mail service receives your email
  • TXT — carry SPF, DKIM and verification records used by mail providers and services like Google
  • NS — name servers, which decide who answers for the domain at all

Changes to DNS take time to propagate across the internet. We will tell you what to expect before making a change that affects live services.

Transferring a domain to us

  • Unlock the domain at your current registrar
  • Obtain the authorisation (EPP) code
  • Make sure the registrant email address is reachable
  • Start the transfer and approve the confirmation email
  • Wait for the registry to complete the transfer

Transfer eligibility and timelines are set by the registry for each extension, not by us. Some extensions cannot be transferred within a set period after registration or a previous transfer.

Renewals

An expired domain is the expensive kind of mistake

When a domain lapses, the website and every mailbox on it stop working at the same time, and recovery can be slower and costlier than renewal. Domains held with Ingenious Hub Hosting appear in your client portal with their renewal dates, and renewal invoices are raised against your account ahead of expiry.

Keep the contact email address on your account current. Registry and registrar notices go to the registrant address on record, and that address is your responsibility to maintain.

Manage domains in the client portal

Signed-in customers can view registered domains, check renewal dates, manage DNS records where applicable, and settle renewal invoices.
