Cookie Policy
What cookies are, which ones are involved in Ingenious Hub Hosting, and how to control them from your own browser.
Short version: this public website sets no cookies of its own, and the client portal uses session cookies that are required for you to sign in. The detail is below.
What cookies are
A cookie is a small text file that a website asks your browser to store. On a later visit, the browser can send it back, which lets a site recognise a session, remember a setting, or keep you signed in. Related technologies such as local storage work in a similar way.
Cookies on this website
The public website at host.ingenioushub.com is a static site. It does not set cookies of its own in order to display its pages, and it does not require you to accept cookies in order to read anything here, including the Privacy Policy and Terms of Service.
Our server may record standard technical details of page requests in its logs — such as IP address, browser type and requested URL — for security and diagnostic purposes. That is server logging, not cookies, and it is described in our Privacy Policy.
Essential cookies
Essential cookies are the ones a service cannot work without. The Ingenious Hub Hosting client portal uses them: signing in, keeping a session active while you move between pages, and protecting form submissions all depend on session cookies.
These cannot be switched off while using the portal. Blocking them in your browser will prevent you from signing in.
Analytics cookies
Analytics cookies measure how a site is used — which pages are visited, how visitors arrive, where they leave.
This public website does not currently use analytics cookies. We would rather say that plainly than list tools we do not run. If analytics are introduced in future, this policy will be updated before or at the time they are enabled, and this section will name what is used.
Preference cookies
Preference cookies remember a choice you made, such as a display setting or a dismissed notice. This public website does not currently set preference cookies. The client portal may store preferences relating to your account view.
Third-party requests and cookies
This website loads its typefaces from Google Fonts. That means your browser makes a request to Google’s font servers, which involves sending your IP address and browser information to Google in order to deliver the font files. Google Fonts does not set cookies for this purpose, but the request itself is a third-party connection and we would rather you knew about it.
The client portal may involve cookies set by services required for it to function, such as payment providers at the point of payment. Those cookies are governed by the policies of the providers concerned.
Where a Google sign-in is used in connection with our services, Google will set its own cookies as part of that authentication, under Google’s policies rather than ours.
How to manage cookies
You are in control of cookies in your browser. Every major browser lets you view stored cookies, delete them, block them for particular sites, or block third-party cookies entirely. The setting is usually found under Privacy, Security or Site settings.
- Chrome: Settings → Privacy and security → Third-party cookies / Site data
- Safari: Settings → Safari → Privacy & Security
- Firefox: Settings → Privacy & Security → Cookies and Site Data
- Edge: Settings → Cookies and site permissions
Blocking all cookies will not affect your ability to read this website. It will prevent you from signing in to the client portal, because session cookies are essential there.
Changes to this policy
If our use of cookies changes — for example if analytics are introduced — this page will be updated with the date of the change shown at the top.
